Abstract

The article is based on rare research papers written by I.G. Pryzhov, a historian, ethnographist and writer who lived in XIX century and is half-remembered nowadays. The author considers the topical issue of Little Russia (Ukraine) artistic heritage origin penetrated with the people’s sincere love of their land, its invaluable contribution to treasure house of not only the Russian but also the Slavs culture. Kievan Russia is given as an example of the Slav nation main cultural achievements, besides the hindsight analysis of their common grounds and spiritual qualities is made. The author hopes this heritage will be preserved and currently used despite the confrontation existing in Ukraine now.
