MAGISTERIAL PLOT AND AUTOR’S “SELF-INTERPRETATION”

Abstract
The research aims at finding correlation and defining the difference between the terms related to the invari-ant plot scheme. The basic one is the notion of “magisterial plot” introduced by L. Pinsky. Such plot can manifest itself both in the works of the same author or of the different representatives of the same genre. The fact that the term, developed for the literary analysis is also relevant for studying other art forms, shows its considerable cul-turological potential. All the works of art that have common magisterial plot, can be seen as complimentary ar-tistic interpretations of the same invariant, that collectively expound its sense potential. One of the cases is the “self-interpretation” by the author. It is seen in creating different versions of the same work (the “minimal” onto-logical form of magisterial plot), or creating the “ultimate” work that sums up all the vital themes and motifs.
