Abstract
The article is devoted to the introduction of a new concept of “intellectual culture” into scientific studies of the Belarusian culture and history. The primary goal of the article is to show heuristics of the application of this concept to the cultural situation in Belarus of 20 – 30 years of XX century. The imposition of the two ideological modernization projects of Belarusian nationalism and Soviet Marxism on the production of scientific and philosophical text is analyzed as the distinguishing trait of the period. Besides, author analyses the context of uses and meanings of “intellectual culture” in modern humanities and social studies and two similar concepts – “epistemic culture” and “philosophical culture”.
