SOME ASPECTS OF TEACHING EXPERIENCE OF THE COURSE «PSYCHOLOGY OF CREATIVITY AND ART» TO PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the psychology students’ vocational training in the process of learning the psychology of creativity. A brief overview of educational specialization programs for the psychology of creativity at universities of different countries of the world is presented. It is noted that although there is no such specialization in Ukraine, the discipline “Psychology of Creativity” is taught to psychology students in many higher educational institutions of the country. The author's curriculum and the experience of teaching the course “Psychology of Creativity and Art” at the National University “Chernigov Collegium” named after T.G. Shevchenko for graduate students of the specialty “Psychology” are described. The course includes topics devoted both to the general issues of the psychology of creativity and art, and to the psychological characteristics of their various kinds. The methodical aspects of conducting practical classes are pointed out. The examples of tasks and exercises that promote the development of students’ creative thinking, practical skills in solving creative tasks and using art therapy methods, psychological analysis of various works of art are given in the article.
