Abstract
This article is dedicated to different methods and means of warfare according to the international humanitarian law. Questions of legal status of direct participants of international armed conflicts and questions of international legal cooperation in the sphere of international terrorism are analyzed. Division of armed forces into fighting and non-fighting; differentiation of the categories “military spy” and “military intelligence agent”, “volunteer”and “hireling”; the notions “terrorism”, “guerrilla war” and “prosecution of military operations by non-government armed units” is shown.
