AXIOMS OF LAW AND POWER I A. ILYIN AND THEIR CONTEMPORARY VALUE

Abstract

In the article the author refers to some conclusions and assessments of the development of the legal system of the state, which at one time was made by an outstanding Russian jurist and philosopher I.A. Ilyin. He drew attention to the need for a civilized solution of possible conflicts in the state, emphasized the fundamental importance of natural law, its priority over the right of positive. Normal sense of justice, in his opinion, always begins with a conscientious attempt to formulate in the norms of acts natural law. He gave his reasons for the mutual duty of the state to create laws and duties of citizens to observe them. In modern conditions, there are legal and organizational conditions for the state power to hear the voice of the people. In turn, citizens should understand their responsibility for observing the legal order. Legal science in modern conditions plays an important role in ensuring the sustainable development of Belarusian society and the state.
