REGIONAL ASPECTS OF ESTIMATION OF THE LEVEL AND QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE POPULATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

Abstract

The article assesses of the standards of living and the quality of life of the population of the regions of the Republic of Belarus based on the calculation of the integral index characterizing the main aspects of human life. The attention is focused on the fact that standards of living and the quality of life of the population of the regions of Belarus depend on socio-economic factors that are characterized by significant regional differences. In order to identify and assess the problem factors that affect the decrease of the standards of living and the quality of life of the population of the regions of Belarus, a cluster analysis was carried out, which allowed to classify regions into groups and identify problem areas of these groups. The recommendations aimed at leveling of the standards of living and the quality of life between groups of regions that are under the influence of negative factors (unemployment, aging of the population, etc.) and regions with high incomes to provide comparable living conditions of the population are given.
