Abstract
The views of scientists and experts on financial resources are analysed. The hypothesis about possible causes of the separation of practical understanding of financial resources from the provisions of the theory of finance is formulated. The analytical work to verify these assumptions by alternately comparing the practical interpretations of financial resources with their understanding of the tenets of the effluent distributive finance concept in a planned and market economies is done. Failure of the concept of the distribution of finance in its orthodox version, designed for a planned economy is proved to provide adequate theoretical support of many practical processes and phenomena in their current, fresh, market sounding. The author’s definition of financial resources, is given.
