Abstract
On the basis of the conducted research were identified and characterized criteria that allow to assess the state of contemporary economic discourse, among which: the extent and consistency of compliance in economic theory and other economic sciences of scientific methods; the extent and consistency of compliance in economic sciences of historical approach; the extent and consistency of compliance in economic theory in general and in political economy in particular of socio-philosophical and political paradigms, which are based on positive state ideology; the degree of dogmatism and idealization in economic theory and other economic sciences of the basic thesis, conclusions and recommendations; the number of actually existing national scientific schools and directions; the level of autonomy of native economic science.
