Abstract
This article attempts to examine the problematic issues of post-penitentiary prevention of recidivism, in particular, the problem of social adaptation of persons who are serving, and the problem of social control over these persons. Two stages of preventing recidivism: prison prevention (in prisons) and post-penitentiary (after release from prison) are analyzed.
