Abstract
The article deals with the possibility and problems of application of geographic information systems in the nuclear power industry of the Republic of Belarus in the context of legal regulation. The subject composition of legal relations in the field of atomic energy and nuclear safety is considered within the framework of the research. The legal analysis of the possibility of applying the geoinformation systems at various stages of the life cycle of a nuclear installation starting from the pre-project documentation up to the commissioning of the nuclear installation was carried out. The information restricted for dissemination, which is covered by the legal regime of the state secret, was determined. The legal regime of physical nuclear safety with respect to information is investigated.
