Abstract
The article analyzes the management system of physical culture and sports of the highest achievements in the United States, as well as features of the regulation of sport by the state. The main feature is the high degree of decentralization of administration and finance not only high performance sport, but also youth and university sports. The development of sports in the United States is a distinctive example of laissez-faire, that actually is a working market mechanism. The main directions of scientific research on the institutionalization of the market model of development of sports in the Republic of Belarus.
