THE TENDENCIES OF ATTRACTING FOREIGN INVESTMENT IN THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

Abstract
The attraction of foreign investments is actual for many countries. For the Republic of Belarus the attraction of direct foreign investments is an important factor. It promotes the use of new progressive technologies and equipment in production, introduction of marketing and administrative “know-how”, more rapid access to the new markets with competitive goods and services, as well as to reduction of irrational import.
The article concerns the trends of foreign investments in Republic of Belarus from 2002 to 2012 and the country investment activities in 2013. The analysis is based on the statistical data of National statistical committee and National bank of Belarus.
