CRIMINAL-LAW CONTROL IN THE FIELD OF FAMILY AND DOMESTIC OFFENSES

Abstract

The article examines criminal law mechanisms for counteracting crimes committed in the sphere of family and domestic relations in the Republic of Belarus. Based on an analysis of current criminal and criminal procedural legislation, the absence of a unified statutory definition of the concept of “criminal law control” is substantiated, and specific features of the qualification of crimes related to domestic violence are identified. The main elements of criminal law control are defined, including the criminal law assessment of acts, procedural response mechanisms, and the application of criminal liability measures. Proposals aimed at clarifying the conceptual framework and improving law enforcement practice in counteracting crimes in the family and domestic sphere are formulated. The implementation of these approaches contributes to enhancing the effectiveness of criminal law protection of the individual and strengthening the rule of law.
