Abstract
There is the analysis of the French legal system from the standpoint of civil law. There is a comparative analysis of the main components of the legal community. The legal geography of French legal system, existing within the Roman-Germanic legal family, is defined. The traditional system of French law is determined. The analysis of the sources of customary law is done. Regulatory uniformity of the French legal system is defined. The peculiarity of the legal conceptual structure of the national French law is shown. The role and importance of the legal system is viewed through the prism of “regulatory poles” of the Roman-Germanic law.
