Abstract
This article analyzes the transformation of the institution of constitutional review in the Republic of Belarus in the context of the 2022 constitutional reforms. It examines the system of bodies that ensure the supremacy and direct effect of the Constitution. It argues that the Constitutional Court remains the key actor in constitutional review, but The Belarusian People's Congress and other state bodies also possess oversight powers. The author offers a definition of constitutional review. It concludes that it is necessary to develop a clear system of interaction between the bodies exercising constitutional review, and explores the importance of this institution for the formation of a legal, social, and democratic state.
