Abstract

The article systematizes contemporary approaches to conceptual and operational development of organizational dynamic capabilities (DC). A critical analysis of the DC concept evolution from the resource-based view to micro-foundations is conducted. Based on a review of 185 quantitative studies, critical opacity in DC operationalization is revealed, limiting comparability of results. The specificity of post-Soviet transition economies – dual institutional environment, significant state sector, sanctions pressure – is substantiated as a modifying context for DC development. A conceptual model for DC operationalization in transition economies is proposed, adapting the Teece triad (sensing – seizing – reconfiguring) through the introduction of institutional moderators. Directions for empirical verification of the model are identified.
