INCREASING THE RELIABILITY AND LONG-TERM PERFORMANCE OF ILLUMINATED, ILLUMINATION AND OTHER LIGHTING DEVICES

Abstract
The main malfunctions, that arise when searchlight, illuminating and other lighting devices are operating, are considered in this article, influencing factors, negatively affecting their performance characteristics are illuminated here too. The available ways to increase the reliability and longevity of floodlight and other lighting devices, supplementing and correcting stereotyped directions are suggested and also some specific circuit-based solutions for their practical implementation are presented here. An orientation of the proposed methods to the mass-produced domestic element base and the generally known laws of physics and electrical engineering is an important aspect of these solutions. The application of the proposed design solutions in real conditions allows to increase the service life and reliability of the halogen floodlights as the most common lighting devices to date without significant increasing of their maintenance and operation costs.
