RESEARCH AND MODELLING OF THE HELIUM-SELECTIVE SENSOR FOR PORTABLE LEAK DETECTOR

Abstract
The use of sensors made of quartz glass allows to make a portable helium leak detector. The execution of selecting elements in the capillary form provides an efficient process for the selection of helium from gas mixtures for subsequent detection. Experimental and theoretical studies of the quartz sensor carried to develop the first helium leak detector with ion pump capable to measure the helium flow 1.10–7 Pa.·m3/s are presented. Features of technology and the checkout of the quartz sensor parameters are presented in this publication.
