FLAME DETECTION IN VIDEO BASED ON WAVELET ANALYSIS AND TEXTURE SEGMENTATION

Abstract
Flame detection algorithm in video sequences is considered. Our algorithm composed of three basic steps: training and testing a classifier; select based on color filtering and wavelet analysis in temporal and spatial domains; candidate areas classification using statistical texture and color characteristics. For objects classification k-nearest neighbor algorithm is used. Real video surveillance sequences were used for flame detection with utilization our algorithm. A set of experimental results are presented in the paper.
