Аннотация

Разглядаецца сувязь антымілітарысцкіх тэндэнцый у слоўнасці ЗША другой паловы ХIХ – першай трэці ХХ стагоддзя. Амерыканская літаратура валодае багатай традыцыяй адлюстравання батальных падзей, што фарміравалася на працягу некалькіх стагоддзяў. Сусветную вядомасць атрымалі творы, прысвечаныя Грамадзянскай і Першай сусветнай войнам. У якасці аб’екта параўнальна-супастаўляльнага аналізу вылучаны творы А. Бірса, Дж.У. Дэфорэста, С. Крэйна (разглядалі падзеі Грамадзянскай вайны) і Т. Бойда, Дж. Дос Пасаса, Э. Хемінгуэя (прысвечаны ўдзелу амерыканцаў у Першай сусветнай). Агульным для абодвух пакаленняў было крытычна-іранічнае адлюстраванне вайны, зварот да яе негатыўных праяў, развенчванне гераічных памкненняў, літаратурнае вучнёўства ў Л. Талстога.
