TECHNOLOGY OF PRODUCTION OF PRODUCTS FROM NON-FERROUS METALS XIV–XVIII CENTURIES. FROM THE TERRITORY OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL BELARUS

Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of the structure of products made of non-ferrous metals of the XIV-XVIII centuries from the territory of Northern and Central Belarus. The author found that in the non-ferrous metalworking of the region, the main technological operations were forming cold forging (44% of the sample), as well as casting and cold cosmetic forging (28% of the sample). It was also established that most of the cast products were reworked after casting to eliminate defects and apply decor. At the same time, the final mechanical refinement was often accompanied by annealing to relieve the stress of the metal and make it more ductile.
