THE RECEPTION OF F. KAFKA’S CREATION IN THE EARLY PROSE OF P. HANDKE

Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of reception of F. Kafka’s creation in the works of P. Handke. In it the stages of treatment of the contemporary Austrian author to the personality and artistic heritage of the great classic are examined. Particular attention is given to the early prose of P. Handke, because the influence of F. Kafka was reflected just here the most perceptibly. Such texts of P. Handke as “The Process (for Franz K.)” and “The Goalie’s Anxiety at the Penalty Kick” are analyzed in detail; the examples from theses works are given, that evidence of a close dialogue of the writer with his mentor. Ultimately, it is noted, that the ideas, motives and images of F. Kafka are not simply borrowed by P. Handke, but also are rethought, are filled with new senses.
