DRIVERS' LACK OF AWARENESS OF SAFETY MEASURES AS A RISK FACTOR TO LIFE AND HEALTH WHEN HANDLING PETROLEUM PRODUCTS AT GAS STATIONS

Abstract
The article identifies the key factors posing an increased risk to the life and health of employees and visitors (drivers and other customers) at petrol stations when handling petroleum products. The article presents the results of a comprehensive analysis of the causes of accidents occurring at petrol stations; their connection with a lack of driver awareness of safety rules and regulations when navigating petrol stations and refueling vehicles with petroleum products is confirmed. The content of driver training programs for motor vehicles in driving schools is analyzed. It is determined that existing training programs for drivers of motor vehicles of categories "A", "B", "B" and "C", "C", "C" (international transportation) require amendments in order to enhance drivers' competencies in ensuring safety when refueling vehicles. Directions for updating regulatory frameworks aimed at improving the safety of petrol stations and electric charging stations are proposed.
