Abstract

The article discusses one of the main problems facing the gas industry and determining the prospects for its further development, namely, reducing energy consumption for the needs of the industry. It also considers the environmental impact on the environment through the release of natural gas, which in turn increases the concentration of methane in the atmosphere. The reasons and types of reservoir losses, possible ways of gas utilization in underground storage facilities were considered, general utilization of natural gas was schematized. The authors considered ways to reduce losses of natural gas into the atmosphere, and it was also proposed to modernize the technological scheme and install a natural gas reduction unit. Calculations were made of the volume of gas for bleeding. The result of the calculations was a reduction in natural gas losses by 99% (51823 m3), and the total annual amount of gas for technological losses by 68%.
