FUNCTIONAL DESIGN IN THE TEACHING METHODDISCIPLINES METALWORKING MACHINES

Abstract
The use of functional design in the teaching of engineering discipline “metal cutting machines” is considered, based on the paradigm of cognition, based on the end-branching of mechanical energy in kinematic chains and the principle of possible displacements. Functional design as a synthesis of the kinematic structure of a metal cutting machine according to the law of its functioning, given by the method of shaping processing. The iterative nature of functional design, consistently approximating from stage to stage, starts with the analysis of the corresponding method of shaping processing, to the solution of the task.
