Abstract

The article discusses the problem of emergencies at technological pipelines of oil depots, made aboveground, when replacing wedge gate valves with ball valves. The purpose of the study is identified. The authors determined the subject and object of the study, set tasks to determine the factors affecting the accident rate of technological pipelines, and also determined the causes of emergencies. The article considers factors affecting he breakdown rate of technological pipelines, the nature and physical properties of thermal expansion of a liquid. The authors considered the problem of emergencies at technological pipelines of oil depots made in the above-ground version, and also the effect of thermal expansion of liquids with temperature. The article defines the dependence of the increase in liquid pressure in a closed volume during its thermal expansion and the dependence of the increase in oil pressure in a closed pipeline during thermal expansion.
