OXIDATIVE STABILITY OF HYDROCRACKING BASE OILS AND WAYS TO IMPROVE IT

Abstract
A summary of the literature data on the effect of the chemical composition of oils on their resistance to oxidation by molecular oxygen is presented. The reasons for the low oxidation resistance of deep-refined hydrocracking oils, the mechanism of the oxidation of hydrocarbons of various structures and their mixtures are considered. The factors affecting the oxidative stability of oils are systematized. The results of studying the effect of heat treatment of deep – refined hydrocracking oil on its optical characteristics-the light transmission coefficient with different wavelengths-are presented. The possibility of quantifying the oxidation intensity of oils by changing their optical characteristics is shown. Kinetic and thermodynamic regularities of hydrocracking oil oxidation are revealed. It is shown that the kinetic curve of hydrocracking oil oxidation has a stage of selfinhibition by oxidation products. methods of increasing the stability of hydrocracking base oils to oxidation by air oxygen are considered. As the most effective way to increase the oxidative stability of deep-refined hydrocracking oils, the introduction of inhibitors of the radical chain oxidation of hydrocarbons into their composition is proposed.
