Abstract
Key problems of engineering and production of cutting tools at domestic machine-building enterprises are formulated. Equivalent terms for cutting work and material designation are considered. Analysis of cutter blate and cutter block types and their holding in instrumental modules is carried out, constructional features of development systems, including ones for multipurpose treatment are singled out. Examples of systems for turn-ing, parting, milling, boring are given, general trends in modern development of instrument provision of machine-building enterprises are disclosed.
