INFLUENCE OF THE PRODUCT OF INTERACTION OF RAPESEED OIL WITH DIETHYLENETRIAMINE ON THE PROPERTIES OF ROAD BITUMEN

Abstract
Requirements to modifying additives introduced into the road bitumen are considered. There are results of studies of the properties of the product of interaction of unrefined rapeseed oil with diethylenetriamine. We pro-pose the likely chemical composition of the above mentioned product, which includes a set of surface-active substances of various types. Their tendency to form reverse micelles Hartley in non-polar solvents is revealed. It is shown, that when injected into the bitumen the product under investigation has a plasticizing effect on it, increasing its flow and penetration. It is found that the reaction product of rapeseed oil with diethylenetriamine increases the degree of adhesion of bitumen with the surface of acid as well as alkaline mineral materials. The addition of the investigational product to oil bitumen slows its thermo-oxidative aging. Product of reaction of rapeseed oil with diethylenetriamine shows marked fungicidal properties and depressing effect on the growth of soil bacteria.
