METACOGNITIVE SKILLS AS A CONDITION FOR PROFESSIONAL SELF-DEVELOPMENT OF A TEACHER STUDENTS

Abstract

The article presents a view of the professional self-development of a teacher from the standpoint of organizing a system of professional pedagogical thinking. Metacognition acts as a methodological basis for describing the system of professional pedagogical thinking. The idea is being developed that metacognitive skills create a solid foundation for professional self-development both at the stage of training and in future professional activity due to its versatility and the ability to transfer to a wide range of tasks. Examples of the use of various metacognitive strategies are given.
