Abstract
The article presents the results of a pedagogical experiment conducted in physical education classes in preschool institutions with children who are often and for a long time ill. The results of the effectiveness of the use of additional exercises for the development of the respiratory system in the process of physical exercises are shown. One of the most important functions of regulating the vital activity of the human body is breathing. Strengthening of the respiratory muscles, strengthening of lung ventilation, the use of proper breathing techniques contribute to improving the functioning of the respiratory system and, as a result, improve the overall condition of the whole organism as a whole. Traditional means of physical education and hardening in preschool institutions are ineffective and do not solve the issues of a high level of colds in children. This study has become particularly relevant at the present time, due to the spread of coronavirus infection in the world, which primarily affects the respiratory system.
