Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of volitional self-regulation of 1st-year students of the specialty “modern foreign languages”. It is shown that this group of respondents is characterized by fairly high indices of volitional self-regulation on all 3 scales. They have shown the ability to consciously control their actions, state and motives. They are distinguished by calmness, self-confidence, and a developed sense of duty. The study of volitional self-regulation of students in the process of mastering the academic discipline “Human life safety” is an important indicator of the formation of a certain level of safety culture and a healthy lifestyle. In case of detection of low indicators of activity, working capacity, increased fatigue and internal tension, it is necessary to individually develop a program for correcting these properties in the educational process.
