EDUCATIONAL QUALITY AS A SOCIAL VALUE AND OBJECT OF PEDAGOGICAL MONITORING

Abstract
The article reveals the results of the research of essence and content of the concept “educational quality”, which has evolved to customer satisfaction with the provided educational service, allowing to fulfill the social order for training of highly qualified specialists, possessing not only knowledge and professional competences, but also providing conditions and opportunities for development of creative potential of a personality and a citizen. Within the framework of the research the educational quality has been considered at two levels – at the level of the learner and at the level of the educational system that supports the educational process itself. Based on the conceptualization of the quality of education, the main elements that allow improving it are highlighted. Pedagogical monitoring and assessment of the educational quality are considered from the perspective of tools that allow making balanced and timely management decisions aimed at improving the progress and results of the process.
