Abstract

The article describes the results of an empirical study, the purpose of which was to compare the severity of personality traits in women and girls with the names Anastasia and Victoria. To collect empirical material, the following methods were used: “Personality differential” and “16 factor personality questionnaire” by R. Kettell. Data processing methods – Descriptive statistics analysis and Mann-Whitney U difference criterion.


Significant differences in the severity of the following personality traits were revealed: “Surgency – Desurgency” (“Carelessness – Concern”), “Parmia – Threctia” (“Courage – Shyness”), “Frustration – Non-Frustration”. It is established that girls with the name Anastasia are characterized by a greater expression of such personal traits as restraint, tension, restlessness, impatience and irritability, they have less developed strong-willed sides of the personality. Victoria is distinguished by the predominance of such personal traits as courage, cheerfulness, activity, equanimity, cheerfulness, satisfaction with any state of affairs, greater development of strong-willed qualities.
