“DOPAMINE EDUCATION” AND THE PROBLEM OF THE FORMATION OF CIVIC CONSCIOUSNESS OF MODERN YOUTH

Abstract
The article examines the problem of the formation of civic consciousness of modern youth, the influence of education on this process. The purpose of the article is to identify the specifics of educational practices in the context of the dynamics of society, to determine the prospects for the development of civic identity in the modern educational environment. The article analyzes the specific features of modern education, the essence of which allows us to describe it as “dopamine education” – focused on meeting the needs of students to receive pleasure (emotional, social, cognitive, etc.). The article reveals the prerequisites for the emergence of this educational model (economic, socio-cultural, psychological), identifies the mechanisms of its functioning, influence on the cognitive, behavioral characteristics of the student's personality. It is noted that the model of “dopamine education” is incoherent to the essence of civic consciousness, associated with such personality characteristics as responsibility, a high level of legal awareness and culture of thinking. The authors identify the main problems of the formation of a person's civic consciousness in the current conditions, propose ways to overcome these problems, in particular, they put forward the thesis about the need to preserve the status of education as a sphere of intangible production associated with labor austerity, as well as support the idea of national and civilizational specifics of the educational process as one of the most important conditions for the formation of a person's civic identity. The article will be useful for employees of the education system, as well as for anyone interested in the problems of education and the formation of civic consciousness of modern youth.
