INFORMATION SUPPORT OF INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF FUNCTIONING OF THE WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT IN THE SUPPLY CHAINS OF PRODUCTS OF AN INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISE

Abstract

The process of information support of an industrial enterprise to improve the efficiency of warehouse management in conjunction with other structural divisions is considered. The role and place of information in the logistics system of an enterprise are identified, the effectiveness of information flow management for all participants in its supply chains is assessed. The need for automation of warehouse facilities is noted as a necessary condition for increasing the efficiency of modern industrial enterprises, managing their supply chains and ensuring their competitiveness. The directions of researching the process of information support for improving the efficiency of warehouse management in the supply chains of one of the largest enterprises of the petrochemical complex of the Republic of Belarus are given, ways of solving the problems identified as a result of this research are indicated. Prospective directions of increasing the efficiency of warehouse management and its logistics system in the supply chains of products of an industrial enterprise through information support are proposed, which are designed to ensure its competitiveness in the world market.
