Abstract

The article discusses the main areas of social prevention of domestic violence. The main areas of general social warning are ensuring gender equality, state family policy, social assistance to low-income families and prevention of alcoholism. The study is based on the analysis of statistical data on wages in the Republic of Belarus, persons suffering from alcoholism and and persons who are registered registered at the dispensary, the amount of alcohol consumed in the republic per capita. The author notes positive results in the implementation of some measures. The author points out the shortcomings of the general social prevention of domestic violence. As a result of the study, a number of measures are proposed that are aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the preventive effect of social-wide measures.
