DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AS A FACTOR OF ECONOMIC RESILIENCE OF COUNTRIES

Abstract
The paper assesses the determinism of the level of economic resilience of countries of the world by the factor "science and technology". The empirical verification of the hypothesis was carried out using the method of analytical groupings. The basis of the grouping is a multidimensional assessment of the level of development of science and technology obtained by the Ward method (cluster analysis). The result variable is the assessment of the Global Resilience Index of the American reinsurance company FM Global, adapted by the authors. The existence of a high interrelation between the variables under consideration has been proven. More than half of the variation in the economic resilience of countries around the world is determined by the factor “science and technology”.
