MODIFIED METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE NUMBER OF COMPONENTS IN SOLUTION

Abstract

In the article are features of carrying out the analysis of ranges of organic compounds by Katz and Wallace’s method and his subsequent modifications considered. Possibility of mistakes when using this approach is shown. Modification of a method of Katz and Wallace is offered. For this purpose the matrix of optical density of D needs to be transferred to a matrix of a type of DDT and or to receive a set of own numbers for each parallel definition, or to receive a set of matrixes by transformation of a matrix of DDT to the upper triangular matrix. In the first case define number of own numbers other than zero. In the second option define number of diagonal elements other than zero. Other recommendations which allow to increase definition accuracy also are provided in work. For example, control of quantity of components in solution by decomposition of a range of absorption on components. The example of implementation of the analysis for solution of the methyl red is given.
