THE ULTRASONIC CAVITATION TREATING OF THE COLLOIDAL SYSTEMS OF THE LUBRICANTS

Abstract
The article is devoted to the decision of the problem of colloidal stability increasing of the overbased detergent additives for lubricating oils by means of the Ultrasonic grinding method. There are results of the investigation of ultrasound frequency influence on certain colloidal stability, neutralizing and viscosity properties of colloidal systems and lubricants at various duration of influence. There is an explanation of the ultrasonic influence on the overbased detergent properties from the position of the physicochemical mechanics of petroleum disperse systems science. Raw materials and the nature of the final product impacts on the results of the ultrasonic treatment of the detergent additives have been studied during research. It is shown in the article, that the homogeneity and purity of the raw materials have a stabilizing effect on the disperse phase particles condition for overbased sulfonate detergents. There are some recommendations about the observance of the preventive measures and usage of the protective equipment to minimize the risk of potentially negative consequences for workers’ health caused by ultrasound-formation processing.
