IMPROVING THE MILITARY-APPLIED PHYSICAL FITNESS OF PUPILS OF THE X CLASSES OF INSTITUTIONS OF THE CADET EDUCATION SYSTEM IN OPTIONAL CLASSES

Abstract

The physical preparedness of pupils of the X classes of institutions of the cadet education system is characterized by a level below the average, which is due to the inadequacy of the military-applied orientation of the process of physical education. The purpose of the study is to experimentally substantiate the effectiveness of the curriculum of elective classes in military-applied physical training “Abaronets” for pupils of the X classes of institutions of the cadet education system. The content of the curriculum includes sets of exercises of a military-applied orientation, which form the abilities and skills of pupils in overcoming natural and artificial obstacles, throwing blanks of training grenades for range and accuracy, in performing techniques of the general complex of hand-to-hand combat, in performing exercises with a military-applied orientation in gymnastics and athletic training, as well as complex classes. The effectiveness of the curriculum of elective classes in military-applied physical training “Abaronets” for pupils of the X classes of institutions of the cadet education system was justified in the course of a pedagogical experiment conducted in the state educational institution “Grodno Regional Cadet School” (n = 22). As a result of the pedagogical experiment, significant intra-group changes were revealed in all the studied indicators of military-applied physical fitness in the experimental group of subjects (p < 0,05–0,01). The greatest increase in the indicator was noted in the tests 16 kg weight snatch (25,65%) and throwing grenades at a range (10,51%).
