Abstract

The article presents the study of diesel hydrotreating reactor L-24/6 “Naftan”. The statistical data describing the operation of the plant for a year has been collected and processed throughout the study. The main kinetic parameters of the hydrodesulfurization – reaction order and activation energy – was determined. With these known parameters the relationship between the reactor capacity, sulfur content of the feed and product and average bed temperature was set. The article describes a method of determining the lifetime of the catalyst system under different operating conditions by normalizing the temperature. The kinetic model of the catalytic reactor system was created. The liquid hourly space velocity, the sulfur content in the feedstock, the desired sulfur content in the product are input variables. The result of the calculation is the value of the weighted average bed temperature under the given conditions. The adequacy of the model was tested in this study.
