Abstract

The article reflects the results of an empirical study of differences in the level of happiness, satisfaction, psychological and subjective social well-being among students, due to the presence of close relationships (a close friend, a loved one).

It has been established that students with a close friend have more pronounced indicators: 1) subjective social well-being: “Good relations with loved ones”, “General indicator of subjective social well-being”; 2) psychological well-being: "Positive relationships", "Life goals", "General indicator of psychological well-being". For students who do not have a close friend, the indicator of the PRS "Social distance" is more pronounced. Students who have a loved one, unlike respondents who do not have one, are dominated by indicators of 1) subjective social well-being: “Positive social judgments”; 2) psychological well-being: “Competence”, “Personal growth”, “Positive relationships”. No significant differences were found for other diagnostic parameters.

The results of the study can be used by practical psychologists of higher educational institutions to develop psychological training in order to increase the level of happiness and psychological well-being among students.
