Abstract

This article deals with the problem of teaching professionally-oriented reading at foreign language lessons to students of non-linguistic specialties. It is confirmed that this is a special form of speech communication between specialists in a certain type of work, which is carried out with the help of printed texts, which implies an obligatory exchange of information, because this type of reading allows to join to the existing experience in this field of knowledge. It creates opportunities for expanding its erudition and inner enrichment, which as a result leads to professional growth.


The author’s method of teaching of professionally-oriented reading to students of non-linguistic specialties is given.
